Robert Edgar Richardson, Reeds Spring,

MO, son of Alvah E. and Fay (Browning)

Richardson, was born January 5, 1934,

in Cloudcroft, NM and on May 13, 2024,

at the age of 90 he gained his heavenly

wings but his spirit lives on in the hearts

of his beloved family.

Robert married Diane Wernel in Springfield,

MO on November 27, 1961, recently

celebrating their 62nd anniversary.

Robert’s parents built and opened Sportsman’s

One Stop on the corner of Highway

13 and OO Highway in the late 1950’s.

He partnered with his parents in Sportman’s

until 1963 when he moved on to

new endeavors. Robert later founded

Mountaineer Bow Company in the mid 1960’s. This was his true passion.

He carried many patents on the recurve archery bow and he

strived to have the best bow out there. Many of his bows won multiple

state championships. Years after that in 1990 he founded Richardson

Exteriors which he operated with his son Chris until his retirement in

the early 2000’s.

Robert had an immense love for his family and he relished every moment

spent with them creating memories that will be cherished for

generations to come. His legacy will forever be remembered through

the close-knit family he leaves behind.

Besides family he found great joy in his time spent hunting. He often

reminisced about his 49 years of consecutive hunting trips to the mountains

of Colorado. He took great pride in sharing stories that included

his dad, brothers and many hunting buddies such as, Gerald Loveland,

Ray Dean Cox, Jim Holt, Jerry Adams, Buddy Martin, Sandy Sanders

and Doc Caddell just to name just a few.

Robert was proceeded in death by his parents Alvah and Fay Richardson;

two brothers, Jimmy and Gerald Richardson; great grandson by

choice, Tyler Shearburn.

Robert leaves behind his wife, Diane Richardson, son, Chris Richardson,

daughter, Lori Hartman and her husband Mike, brother, Donnie

Richardson and his wife Ann, sister, Linda Baker, four grandchildren;

Jessica Davis and her fiance Dan, Courtney Kirkpatrick and her husband

Courtney, Tiffany Richardson and Gavin Davis and his fiance

Makayla, eight great grandchildren; Deven, Hali, Ayden, Chloe, Caiden,

Caydee, Jaxon and Louella, grandchildren and great grandchildren by

choice; Deanna and Maverick and a host of other family and friends.

A graveside memorial service was held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the

Philibert Cemetery in Kimberling City, MO with Jerry Jenkins officiating.

Family and friends gathered at their home following the service to

share memories and celebrate his life, everyone is welcome. Arrangements

are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling

City, MO.
