CHARLES EBY

Charles David “Dave” Eby passed away on Feb. 25, 2024.

He was born May 5, 1945 in his family’s home just outside of Galena, Missouri, to Eanos Eby and Reathel Maples Eby.

At 17, he joined the US Marine Corps which took him to Hawaii and then Vietnam. He was awarded the Distinguished Marksman medal.

He is survived by his wife Maggie, 3 sons; Don Eby (Amy); Grant Eby (April); Eanos Erik Eby (Dana); grandchildren Kevin Eby; Aisha Johnson; Noah Eby; Presley Walsh; RL Hurstrom; Grayston Eby and Payton Eby; several great grandchildren; and sisters Helen Hunt (Jerry); Lavina Drewery (Michael); and Sharon Ogea (John)

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Shirley.

A celebration of life was held on March 1. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations for a bench and trees for the new Reeds Spring School Districts new park in care of Larry Maloney at Branson Bank.
